When I started creating, I realized I didn’t want to just make a larger version of what was already out there.

With my height, it was always difficult to find clothes in my size. Options that existed were limited. (Thankfully, this did keep me away from some trends that, looking back, were not good ideas.) When I started sewing, even altering patterns wasn’t enough because they were developed based on what men “should” wear. So I took lessons and learned to build from the ground up.

Men should have more options when they’re getting dressed. “Getting dressed up” shouldn’t mean taking the corporate uniform out with you. There are more styles, more textures, more colors available. Express your individuality.

When I start sketching an outfit, I want to highlight something different. Men’s clothes fit into a box, but they shouldn’t.

So I want to accentuate an outline, a shoulder, a texture…something that is often overlooked. But people will notice the difference and you won’t be overlooked.
